Where can I see the event Programme and Map?

Can you recommend any accommodation for the Fossil Festival weekend?

Do I need a ticket for the Festival?

No you do not need a ticket to enter the Festival and admission is FREE. Most of our activities on site are free but we do have a small amount of ticketed events, you can browse them here.

Can I bring my dog to the Fossil Festival?

Dogs on leads are welcome to the event however there are some indoor spaces at the event where only guide dogs are allowed - The Baptist Church Venues, The Hub & Lyme Regis Museum.

What time does the Festival start and end?

The Fossil Festival starts at 10am and ends at 5pm.

Will there be a Fossil Festival in 2027?

Yes! The Fossil Festival will take place on 12th & 13th June 2027.

Is the Fossil Festival accessible?

The Jubilee Pavilion, Marine Parade, Lister Gardens, Lyme Regis Museum, The Pine Hall, The Driftwood Cafe, The Hub, The Malthouse Gallery and the Marine Theatre are accessible venues.

The Bakehouse Studio is accessed via stairs and there is no lift access.

Will there be food and drink available to purchase at the Festival?

Yes, we have a number of food and drink stall holders at the event. 

Will I be able to buy Fossils at the event?

Yes! We will have a number of stall holders offering fossils for sale.  

Is the Fossil Festival suitable for all ages?

Absolutely! The Festival is aimed at all ages and is family-friendly.

Are the Talks, Events & Activities free?

The majority of our events and activities are FREE and there is no need to book. We do have a small number of ticketed events that you can browse here. Please arrive early at scheduled events to avoid disappointment.

Is the event free to enter and do I need a ticket?

Yes, entry to the Fossil Festival is free! No ticket is required to attend the event.
